Computer Aided Design

A selection of work from the various CAD programs I am have used
Solidworks

I created the animation entirely in Solidworks. My Solidworks abilities improved throughout my last year of University because I wanted to challenge myself to learn new things and push the limits of my knowledge.

Solidworks
These two images show renders of my bike rack produced in Solidworks whilst at uni. The two views demonstrate how perspective played an important role in the design. The antler shape could be seen from the front, however moving slightly away from it causes it to become distorted. I experimented with colour at this stage to help me decide the final finish I'd use.

Solidworks

A selection of engineering drawings from the previous project which were used to create and arrange the final product.

Creo, Pro E

A sampling of work completed for various university initiatives.

The speaker was a project that aimed to incorporate as many distinct skills as possible into an iPod speaker.

The horizontal bearing bracket was part of an early project in which we were given a set of engineering drawings and were required to construct them in 3D using Creo before fully rendering them.

The headphones were another assignment aimed to demonstrate the various talents we may employ at the end of the year, going beyond the prior speaker.

Creo, Pro E

Another short project, this time to learn how to perform stress analysis testing to a stool. Not content with doing a standard 3 leg stool, I also experimented with the helix tool, to create a totally impractical sprung stool and find the figures to no only prove it would not work, but to then adjust and modify the design to make it a viable object which could be used in the real world

AutoCAD - 2D

I am capable of creating detailed 2D engineering drawings as shown.

I've included examples from university and Bisley to show the different ways in which i've used AutoCAD for elevation drawings with different purposes.
